Is there any way to change the username of an existing user?

Hello everyone,

can I change the username (login id) of an existing user? The REST API doesn't seem to provide this functionality, only any other value regarding an user profile can be changed, but not the username.

I'm running Alfresco Community Edition 7.0.0.

That option is not available.

DB Tables are including that key (username) in some columns, so it's not as simple as changing the name.

Thank you for your reply. Then I will simply create a new user and migrate everything from the old user as workaround.
