Looking for clustering options in Alfresco community

HI Team,

I am looking for clustering in Alfresco community edition for Linux environment.

From the forum, came to know that community edition does not provide support for clustering.

What are the other alternatives we can use?

1. If we utilize replication jobs, then slave node is in read only mode. In case of master node failure how to utilize slave node quickly?
Does slave node contains metadata and versions info also?

2. Does community edition support virtual IP? once the node is down, it will move the service to other node.(e.g. HACMP cluster)

3. what are the possible ways to achieve minimum downtime?

Alfresco Content Services supports clustering (the paid subscription).
